In Wilson County during the mid fifties, my Dad, a tenant
farmer, would sit on the front porch of that old farm house in
an old metal chair. Back then we called a camera a "Kodak". My
soon to be sister in law took a spontaneous picture of Dad
in that chair. His legs were crossed, and the Camel cigarette with ashes about to hit the
porch floor, was between his fingers, with his thumb pressed
against his temple. That picture now faded, but priceless, is hanging on my
office wall. This is what Evelyn and I strive to do with
weddings, and other events. We capture those special moments
that you will cherish.
I have has an interest in photography most of my life. I just didn't do anything to cultivate that interest until about 15 years ago about the time of digital cameras. I still remember my first wedding. I was as nervous as a long tailed cat in a room full of rocking chairs. It was with a young couple of our church at that time. When asked to do it by the mother of the bride, I told her that I had only done photography of sports, and had yet to do a wedding. Her response was "You have six months to prepare for my daughter's wedding".
Over the years my photography has varied from weddings, to rodeo's. I also did sports photography for a Christian School for their year book, plus many church functions. I still do photography for my church. I also do weddings. I have given up the horse shows, and roder's.
We strive to do great work at an affordable price. We hope
you will like what you see and email us.
